Change or reset your password You can change your password for security reasons or reset it if you forget it. Your Google Account password is used to. Go to Forgot Password. Follow the on-screen instructions to change your Macy's password. Forgot Password? Enter your email and we'll send your password hint. Send Hint Cancel. An accurate and up-to-date email address and/or phone number is the best step you can take to ensure you never lose access to your account. Take a moment and make sure the email address and/or phone number you have associated with your account is up to date.

1. From the navigation menu icon, tap Settings and privacy.
2. Tap the Account tab and under Login and security, tap Password.
3. Enter your Current password.
4. Choose your New password.
5. Confirm password.
6. Save your changes by tapping Save.

Note: If you're able to log in but can't remember your password, you can send yourself a password reset email from the password settings page. Additionally, you’ll be logged out of all your active Twitter sessions, except for the one you use to change your password.

1. From the sign in page on either twitter.com, mobile.twitter.com, or the Twitter for iOS or Android app, click Forgot password?
2. Enter your email address, phone number, or Twitter username. If you have multiple accounts associated with your phone number, you cannot use your phone number during this step.
3. Choose the email address where you want to receive the password reset email.
4. Check your email inbox. Twitter will immediately send a message to your account's email address.
5. The email will include a code which will be valid for 60 minutes.
6. Enter this code into the text field on the password reset page and click Submit.
7. When prompted, choose a new password.

Note: Resetting your password will log you out of all your active Twitter sessions.

If you've added your phone number to your account in your Mobile settings, you may receive a password reset via SMS/text message.

1. From the Forgot password? page, enter your phone number, email address, or Twitter username.
   
2. Enter your phone number and click Search.
3. Text a code to my phone ending in [XX] will be displayed. Click Continue.
4. Twitter will text you a code which will be valid for 60 minutes.
5. Enter this code into the text field on the password reset page and click Submit.
6. You will then be prompted to choose a new password.

Note: Resetting your password will log you out of all your active Twitter sessions. Additionally, password reset via SMS is not available to accounts that are enrolled in login verification. You can only reset your password through email.

• It may take up to a few minutes for you to receive the code.
• Use the email password reset option.

Requiring additional information to request a password reset

If you frequently receive password reset messages that you did not request, you can require additional information be entered in order to initiate a password reset:

1. Via twitter.com, go to your Account settings.
   
2. Under the Security section, check the box next to Password reset protect.
3. You will be required to enter your account email address or phone number, in order to send a password reset email or SMS/text.
   • If your email address and phone number are both associated with your account, you’ll be asked to enter both, in order to send a password reset email or SMS/text.
